Students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of cultural activities. The College, once again, regards this as providing the broad education. All new students are welcome to join any of the cultural activities. The activities available are:

Debating: Our debating team participates in Auckland and local interschool competitions.

Maori Cultural
Group :
The College has a strong Kapa Haka group that practices regularly and competes in local and regional competitions.

Music: Musical performance is highlighted through the Music Awards where students have the opportunity to perform in front of their peers to demonstrate their ability in performance music. Students also particpate in Rockquest.

Publishing: Student work is displayed throughout the school. Students play a key role in publishing the College magazine.

Speech: Part of the curriculum and NCEA involves students delivering a speech. The Junior speech (Years 7 to 10) competition is held each year in the College Library. Senior speech is completed through NCEA.

Writing: Many of our students have their writings and articles published in the NZ Herald and County News.

Outdoor Education

The College has an active outdoor education programme with camps at Years 7, 8, 10 and 12. These camps introduce different activities such as skiing at Year 12. Costs for these camps are kept at a minimum and it is school policy that no student should be unable to attend because of financial difficulties. Parents are encouraged to attend these camps too.
